[MLUG] Shared Library question.

I've been trying to install the Motion program that a kind soul suggested earlier on this list with regards to my desire for a linux webcam software.  I've satisfied all the dependencies save one.

The rpm installer for Motion wants libmysqlclient.so.10 which was installed with a much older (v3) mysql client.  I've the v4, so it gets upset when I try to install the older client, or just the shared libraries.

I've 'borrowed' the file off of my 1and1 account (which I believe is Debian), and put it in my /usr/lib dir (Mines Fedora Core 2   [It's all I had ready to go at the time] ).  Then I ldconfigged it with positive results.  However, the rpm installer for Motion still fails for want of this lib.
