does anybody knows how to deal with loading error of atisgkaf.sys in win XP? Does anybody know what this %$#^& driver does at all (beside being ATI driver of graphical ...)? even safe mode doesnt come up and stucks then gives the $%&&*^$ blue screen error message and reboots itself, again and again and again.

What stage of gentoo install did you use?
Can we see a copy of your XF86Config and XF86Congfig-4 files?
Did you ģemerge ati-driversē at install and what happens if you do an
ģemerge sync && emerge up ati-driversē? (you may need to get X.org instead
of Xfree)
And why Xfree instead of X.org ?
