- Thread-topic: Setting up a linux box for a kid
So, I've been Googling for a while for tips on how to set up a linux box
for a kid, and have most of the pieces in place: SimplyMEPIS on an old
Toshiba (600MHz Celeron) notebook, lots of fun games from suggestions at
http://www.linuxforkids.org and
http://www.sf.edu/jhlavacek/computers/kids.html. But, now, I'm looking
for ideas of how to set up the desktop itself. SimplyMEPIS comes with
just KDE, which is way too much trouble to configure for my son (who is
2).
My question is, does anyone have any experience with setting up a box
for a kid, and specifically, what window manager did you use?
