This would be a moderate security risk. I say moderate because you'd
still need write permissions to the /usr/bin or /usr/local/bin trees,
but something could definitely be hidden in there. This would be similar
to adding ./ to your path, only not quite as dangerous.
I'm not saying it's a bad idea, just that you might want to consider the
risk, as compared to any possible benefit.
