True, but the format isn't quite the same since Gentoo doesn't use file
names of the format:
K00*
S00*
K05*
S05*
and so on. It's somewhat similar, since the files in the runlevel
(default, boot, ...) directories are symlinks to files in /etc/init.d,
but it's not the same exact same format. And files don't exist in the
exact same places.
