Thanks for the info Jason. I thought the rc.d was common but was not sure
about SUSE and did not know about sysconfig at all. The reason I asked is
because I wrote a perl program that I have running at startup that will scan
for wireless AP's via iwlist, parse for the ESSID, check to see if you have
a ifcfg for that ESSID (ie ifcfg-wlan0-TigerNet) and if so bring up the
wireless. This works great for my laptop because I run a wireless at home
but with different ESSID and WEP than MU.
So it sounds like my script will work on any RH type distro. If anybody
would like to have the script just let me know.
