Old? That's nothing! Most any modern Linux distro should run on that!
:-)
I have Slackware 10.0 running on older hardware than that at home. I
have to admit that KDE is a bit sluggish on a P166, but my old AMD K6-2
350 runs it just fine! Now, if any one can give me hints on what to run
on my P75 laptop, that would be a good recommendation.
For a while, I made a hobby of trying to run Linux on any thing I could
get my hands on. Since it's gone more mainstream, though, it's not been
as much fun any more.

Any suggestions out there for a suitable distro for an older Dell Laptop
(650mhz 128mb ram, 5 gb hdd)? Wanting to demonstrate to some coworkers
the
usefulness of linux. I was thinking of just using my SUSE 9.0 install,
but
started wondering if another flavor might be better suited to a laptop
and
mobile use. As it is, I can use Linux on my desktop pc's to get to
everything except my access databases (still trying to get the program
to
work right)... Or am I just being anal about the matter? just looking
for
the pro's and con's of different distro's (i.e. pcmcia compatibility,
netwotking, wireless, etc).
Thanks
Duane
