Never mind, found it.
Seems samba is setting roaming profiles by default. SO, to disable roaming profiles, you have to go in and set these:
logon path =
logon home =
NOTE, these have to be set to disable roaming profiles, NOT just uncommented. Further, setting them to "" won't work either. They need to be set to null.
