No no... all those stores have USB keyboards... Just not ones w/o
internal USB hubs. It's the hub that the Belkin KVM is barfing on.
Spectrum (I guess they're calling themselves 'Tiger Tech') has one for
$40 *laugh*
Ratshack was a great suggestion... Thanks. They do indeed have a
plain-jane used to order em off pricewatch for $4-$7 generic (this was
ps/2 back in that day) with no blasted hub and such... but they want
twice what its worth... for their price I could buy one of the bells and
whistles, internal hub, all sorts of assignable keys... of course it
wouldn't work with my system.
I expect this is the way I'll have to go, assuming they'll honor the
tax-exemption of the University tax-exempt Pro cards.
I really don't understand why it's barfing on the Dell keyboard with the
hub... for goodness sake, when I plug an old mac USB keyboard into it,
the mouse that's plugged into the keyboard works (so does the keyboard),
as well as a flash drive.
Thanks. At least there's light at the end of this here tunnel.
