If I did this I would not touch a business only homes. Homes are the ones
that do not have the knowledge to fix the problem or the funds to hire
someone to fix it for them. Now I am not saying that I would do this for
free but I would not charge an arm or leg either.
What I was thinking of doing was if I found an open WAP then I would just
put a flyer on the door. On this flyer would be info about finding an open
WIFI and how it is a bad idea. Maybe something about anything going out
over a public airwave unencrypted is public info. All of this would have to
be in an informative touch and not aggressive at all.
I agree that it is a touchy subject and most people think that anything to
do with computers without the owners permission is hacking and that all
hacking is bad. This is why we are getting all of the nasty bills in
congress submitted by MPAA and RIAA. If you can explain it in the same way
as a postcard via snail mail then people start to understand.
