[MLUG] News and Croquet

Hi Folks,

I haven't been really that active on the list lately. PhD program is
keeping me down. Anyhow, thought I'd share what I've been up to
recently with the group. This last Saturday, October 9, I gave a
presentation at the Graduate Professional Council's "T4" seminar on
the Open CD v. 1.4.1 and distributed 125 copies of the CD. The actual
seminar wasn't really that exciting, but I was glad to get a lot of
FOSS CDs distributed to the public. Free and Open Source evangelism
was doled out in appropriate fashion. I was thinking that if there is
enough interest in the group, I could give the presentation at a MLUG
meeting--assuming that such a thing still takes place from time to
time ;-)

As some of you know, I'm researching 3D virtual learning environments.
A very cool project got slashdotted today and I thought I'd bring the
group's attention to the project. It is called "Croquet" and you

Does anybody on the group have any information on this project they
would like to share?
