[MLUG] Word X, Panther-to-SuSE printing trouble

Stage 1: I have a 2 page doc in Word X on Panther.  I stick my wife's 
letterhead at the top of each page for her, as a png image.  Print preview 
OK.  Print from the PowerBook to the Linux box with the ps printer attached, 
via wireless.  2 nice pages come out with no letterhead, just a big white gap 
at the top.

Stage 2:  tell wife it's OK, get annoyed, copy doc to Linux box (SuSE 9), 
print doc again--making no changes at all.  Get nice letter, nice graphic 
letterhead instantly.  Perfect...from both OpenOffice1.1 Linux and Word97 
inside Win4Lin.

Anybody have an idea why just the graphic would get lost printing from the 
PowerBook?  My hunch is Word X just sucks.  Other stuff with graphics, like 
web pages, print fine from the PB.  Even just some new ideas for googling 
this would be appreciated.
