I tried to compile autocutsel...
http://www.gnu.org/non-gnu/autocutsel/
...on Red Hat Linux. It's one of the Enterprise versions of Red Hat and
it has the newest kernel. Anyway, 'configure' doesn't find X unless I run
it with these options:
./configure --x-includes=/usr/X11R6/include --x-libraries=/usr/X11R6/lib
Then I get this error:
checking for main in -lXext... no
checking for main in -lXaw... no
configure: error: Xaw library must be installed
I have these files, but I guess it isn't enough...
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw.so.6
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw.so.6.1
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw.so.7
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw.so.7.0
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw3d.so.6
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw3d.so.6.1
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw3d.so.7
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw3d.so.7.0
Anyway, does Linux usually come without Xaw installed? I tried to compile
autocutsel also on MLUG (a Debian box) and it also failed in the same way.
Does anyone have any tips on what I need to do?
Thanks in advance!
Mike
