So, I had to turn off TLS on port 587 this morning, because a user is
still using Outlook 2000 which according to Microsoft doesn't support
TLS on any other port than 25.
So I changed my master.cf <http://master.cf>
587 inet n - n - - smtpd -o
smtpd_enforce_tls=no -o smtpd_sasl_auth_enable=no
obviously turning the yes' to no's.
So my question is how do I go about setting up Postfix so that I can
still use TLS, but don't have to if someone happens to be using
Outlook 2000. Can I implement a different port with no TLS and turn
TLS back on for 587 or is there a better way to do all this with ports
25, 465, 587, etc....
Also, I am not sure why port 465 is open, but doesn't do anything. I
can't find mention of it anywhere in my Postfix config files.
Help, am...so...confused.....
Thanks.
