I am not sure where they get their location information. I have found it
to be incorrect in a couple of instances, and IP addresses are
geographically independent. So, there is no particular data tied to an
IP address, other than the address of the company to which it was
assigned, that would give an address or location for an IP address.

It said my IP is in Alexandria, VA, not Columbia where my box physically
sits. 
Is that possible?  Say, if the server that assigns me my IP actually is
in 
VA?  Just curious, trying to learn a little.
