The lack of Norton integration surprised me; clients with Norton Corporate
get Windows security messages warning them that they might not be
protected - even though they are. I'm *really* surprised that Symantec didn't
work with MS on this one - AVG works perfectly!

The startup delay is mildly annoying (albeit a LOT better than in the early
release candidates of the service pack). From what I can tell, they happen
because whenever ANY executable is launched, XP performs a number of checks
on them:
- It checks to see if the executable is 'signed', and checks for a policy
relating to that signature (which is funny, because the policy system is
pretty poor at this point - but it points to a future Mandatory Access
Control system, which would be really nice to have)
- It looks for additional NTFS file streams, particularly one that indicates
the origin of a file. If the file was downloaded, it then warns the user that
the file might be dangerous.
- It seems to do some juggling with the NX bit on AMD systems. I don't quite
know WHAT it does, but it does something!
