Hi all
I try to migrate a server from RedHat to SuSE. I have a script for
generating user accounts which runs fine on RedHat, but generates
trouble on SuSE. The problem is that SuSE 9.1 has a "passwd" that does
not understand the '--stdin' option. I have not jet found a way to set
the password from a script on SuSE. Does anyone have a idea?
Is there a chance to use chat for this? I don't know how I get
stdin/stdout of passwd connected to chat?
Since the script could be converted to python, is there a passwd/pam
module for python? I could also switch to pearl or so, if that would help.
/sven
PS: redhat passwd does not work on SuSE.
