Here is a Doom 3 tweak you can do to increase the performance in the
game by opening up the Doom3config.cfg file with notepad in the Doom3
Folder.

Default is:
seta image_cacheMegs "32"

If you have 512megs of ram set it to seta image_cacheMegs "64"
If you have 640megs of ram set it to seta image_cacheMegs "96"
If you have 768megs of ram set it to seta image_cacheMegs "128"
If you have 1 GiG of Ram set it to seta image_cacheMegs "256"

You will notice a significant difference in your performance because it
caches all your textures in your ram instead of the processor and the
hard drive...



Dunno if it's true, but Googling for image_cacheMegs+doom+3 gets a lot
of hits... Will try tonight.
