Keeping folk updated with where I am...
Sign up with Broadvoice took a few days to be processed - apparently they
had a server down.
I got my number and as a first move, set it up with the xten soft phone with
no asterisk in between just to check the broadvoice side of things worked.
That went fine.
Yesterday I spent about two hours messing with asterisk. I set up extensions
and have x-lite connecting to the asterisk server and asterisk connecting to
the Broadvoice server. Incoming calls work fine and I can make calls between
extensions, I just can't make outgoing calls to the PSTN yet - something's
still amiss with my dial plan.
Hopefully I can get the outbound calls working and then I have the basis of
a basic phone exchange. I can then start to experiment with the fun stuff,
voicemail, menus, time of day based routing and all that.
If anyone else is playing with this, please share your experiences - equally
if anyone wants to borrow from my config files, just drop me an email.
Russell.
