No one who lives by a Fry's is ever very impressed. Their specials are
good, but their regular prices aren't any better for the hassle. And
customer service is always an issue. Worth it for those one day specials
and the specialized components they carry. Not worth it for the hassle.
It would be nice to have a Fry's like store in KC or St. Louis, because
they are not Best Buy or Circuit City (They have actual electronics in
all the ones I've been to. More like Radio Shack on a larger scale) But
I won't cry over it. The ones they build outside the San Jose area
aren't as inspiring, and I am sure the ones outside the bay
area/Southern California are probably cut back even more. That's just my
impression.

I don't know about inferior, I am not too impressed with the Frys out
here
in California. I live about 40 miles from one and would rather buy from
CompUSA, BestBuy, or directly from Pricewatch.

The prices out here are not any better than what CompUSA has them for.

One thing we do have out here that I really like is the Computer Shows.
We
have one here locally about every three weeks and every other week there
is
one in LA, you can get much better prices at these locations than you
can at
any store. The problem is returning defective parts. Of course this is
sometimes a problem at Frys too.
