It looks like you are trying to boot windows on a
secondary hard disk, which windows does not like. Try
changing it to the primary hard disk and install grub
in the master boot record. This has worked for me
before.
Currently I use the NT Bootloader that comes with
WindowsXP, so I don't write over the master boot
record. If you want to do something like that I can
give you the information on how to get it to work.
