While you VPN experts are on the subject...

I'm trying to mount my wife's Bengal space in our home network, so she
can work on her dissertation without floppies.

Is there a good, secure way to do this? I've tried shfs (mounts files
using SSH) and SMB-tunneled-over-SSH. Problem is, my connection will
sometimes go down and then things don't work until I manually umount -l
and remount. (both Mediacom and my NAT-router seem to drop connections
after a while).

Would VPN stuff allow me to use SMB in a secure way? Is there a "right
way" to do this?

Regards,
Mark
