Seriously, what's the use of the VPN client?  I went to the hassle 
solely for the purpose of connecting to \\mu-education-s1\DATA 
(128.206.107.180), and have had no luck.  It's my understanding that 
these ports are blocked on routers between me (mediacom) and COE, by 
both IATS, and MoreNET.

I can get there on the mac using 'afp://', and I believe 'smb://' as well. 

So... why.  What's the point of the VPN client?  I don't get it.   All I 
can see is that IATS policy keeps me from getting work done, or forcing 
me to drive into campus simply to get a file I should be able to get 
from home, if I didn't anticipate my need for it before leaving work the 
day before.  Of course I can always pull it down using afp on the mac, 
but that's slower than spit, and then it's annoying to move it over to 
the PC.

I don't know of any other uses of the VPC client.  All I know is that my 
one need for it fails.
