You can get the kernel you need from here: 
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/
Follow README to upgrade the kernel, you can also use this page for help, 
http://www.linux-sxs.org/upgrading/migration26.html

Forcing an rpm install is not advisable unless you know you are installing for 
right kernel.
