thought I'd ask if anyone had any suggestions for a device/IP address tracking system. I'm starting to manage our network devices, such as network switches, printers, etc. and I didn't know if there was a package out there to keep track of these. I can use a simple excel spreadsheet, or access database or similar, but if there was a simple system out there already, I'd love to take a look. Any suggestions? Comments? I've found this: http://www.brownkid.net/NorthStar/ which looks pretty good, but it hasn't been under development for a while. It'd be really nice if I could look at all the available network switches/printers/etc., see what static IP addresses are "unassigned", etc.
Thanks!
Jason
