802.11 (WIFI wireless) has about a 150 feet range. Thick walls like
brick will shorten this distance. To get more distance to can get a
WIFI WAP/router that has removable antenna and add your own antenna that
has a better gain. As for what brand... Linksys is made by Cisco and
they are good. I have a Belkin and am happy with it.
