Yeah, I checked the battery. The machine
will power up. It will not detect any AGP video cards. It will however detect
a PCI video card, but then it just starts to beep at me and the monitor flashes
in odd patterns and asci code with the beep. I am suspecting that the bios may have
been hit with a bios virus sometime before I bought the motherboard on eBay.
As always with bios viruses, they tend to strike on or after a specific date. _______________________________________ From:

you getting any signs of life from your machine when you hit the power
button? Don't forget to check the on board battery and power connections
running to the board itself. I've seen board batteries go bad and create
havoc like this. just my 2 cents From:
EMAIL:PROTECTED [mailto:EMAIL:PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Does anyone have an old p2, p3 or AMD equivalent and
corresponding motherboard you would like to get rid of? My dedicated
Linux box at home somehow got zapped during my move into a new house.
Basically, I powered it down, moved it by car, let it sit for a couple weeks,
and now it won’t post upon power up. I am desperate. I have a lot of files on there that I
need access to soon. Thanks in advance Adam _______________________________________ |
