You'll find that any of the Optiplex machines are a BEAST to get
running with SuSE - it's that onboard intel 815 video card. hit the
same thing with the 260's. The way I got it to work was used Gentoo
with a custom XFree86 4.3 install.
Anyways, recommendations for a video card - any of the NVidia cards
work well. ATI cards work well too, but usually I have pretty good
luck at finding cheap Nvidia cards over ATI.
