I'm starting to reach the limit of my frustration
toleration. I've been through 4 distro's now,
countless how-to's, and hundreds of google searches
and still can not get the sound to work on my IBM 600e
laptop. It seems like people have gotten it to work
several ways on several different kernels (mostly
older ones). But NOOOOO not me. All I wanted was to
say goodbye to windows on at least this 1 machine for
good. So here's what I may ask of you.
Is anyone experienced with this laptop? Or with other
cirrus logic sound implementations? Or with alsa in
general perhaps? I'm hoping someone might be willing
to spend a bit of time on IM going through a few
things with me some evening soon.
Geesh, I've been ranting a lot on here lately :)
