well, it seems the x failure is somehow related to my up2date package
problem. after getting another 'install' error during an update, i
rebooted the box and poof...now x won't start. it's is fixable, but it
has a high annoyance factor with me.
the error message x gives me is: "init: id 'x' respawning too fast:
disabled for 5 minutes"
prob just a config issue...but still. it works fine until i attempt an
upgrade.
i thought the fedora project was stable? grrrrr.
the only reason i tried fedora was because my distro of choice won't
even install on this box. anyway...
i don't know if i'm even going to look for answers. i'm just going to
use something else and see.
:)
