It continues to thrive in the server market.  It is completely taking over
in some other nations.  It is growing on the desktop (now distributed by
Wal*Mart, etc.).  At the same time MS is losing market share, slowly but
surely.

But the topic was open source, not just Linux.  There are *many* open
source projects.  Apache is a good example.  See that Apache has *crushed*
(3:1) Microsoft in the web server market:

Also note what looks like strong negative correlation in recent trends
which implies that Apache is directly taking business from MS.  Me likes
what me sees!
