The sun OBP is pretty neat.  I forgot how to list all OBP commands but you
can use "sifting keyword" to help look.  ie "sifting probe" for all probing
cmds, or "sifting show" for any showing type commmands.

If nothing shows up with "probe-scsi-all" then it's probably a hardware
error.  There are no drivers between the OBP and the hardware (except for
the OBP firmware level itself..)  It would be a driver issue if the probe
command saw the disks but not inside the OS.

Well, probe-scsi didn't find anything.  I didn't know there was a
probe-scsi-all command.  I'll try that one next time I attempt this.

I didn't know there was such a command.  I'll bet it doesn't find the disk
though!

Yes, I agree that my mistake probably is related to the boot-device
setting, or to another setenv thing in nvram.
