This is probably too late to be of use, and may be irrelevant anyway since I'm 
talking different models than you are.  Still, I bought a Netgear 802.11g 
wireless router around November and never could get it to work with my 
PowerBook. Same happened to a friend of mine who'd bought one before I told 
him about mine.  After 2 days of frustration I returned it for a Linksys, 
which also happened to be cheaper and had a bigger rebate at the time. The 
Linksys was woking in about 10 minutes.  Point is, if your plans include 
something with an AirPort, be leery of the Netgear router.
