Chad, it's all about the money. Objectivism takes a back seat to cold hard cash. For example, MS funds multiple analysts to give them "just the facts" about Linux, and *surprise* the findings "prove" that Windows is faster, cheaper, more fun, sexier, whatever. This has nothing to do with facts.

Now, just think how many hits that URL you posted got today. Editors have an uncanny feel for the sort of stuff that will raise people's ire. And the British papers have a tendency towards sensationalism, as well. So who cares what you write if it sells papers, or advertising, or whatever. *Sigh* It's hard to think pragmatically when you're blinded by the fanaticism of the open source, free software phreex.
