Yes, they are complete jerks. I think it's just a FUD-based marketing
campaign to slow the loss of marketshare suffered by Microsoft. They are
also hoping that they can do something to stop foreign nations from
adopting Linux, as they have been. Linux is a huge threat to Microsoft,
and they know it. They lie about it (and say that Linux is not a threat)
because if they were to tell the truth, they would be inadvertently
promoting the competition.
