I don't really know.  I followed the tutorial from
this list...

Now on boot, right after bringing up eth0, it will say
Bringing up interface wlan0, then fail saying it can't
find the device.  It gives the same msg whether device
is plugged in or not.

Thanks for any help you can provide.  I'm really in a
bind trying to find a decent WLAN solution for this
laptop.  Staples sucks!  And of course none of the
fellas @ Staples have ever heard of Linux, so no help
from that direction.  I did talk to the people at
NetGear about what we in the Linux community can do to
try to drum up some support from them.  The tech spt
guy said we should mail letters in, that it will
probably be more effective than mass e-mail (not that
that's an all bad idea either).  Food for thought
anyway.
