We'll be at the half-way mark at 2^30 seconds after Jan 1, 1970, 00:00:00
UTC.  That will occur when "date -d '1073741824 seconds ago'" yields
"Wed Dec 31 18:00:00 CST 1969".

So when will that happen?  It looks like it will be...

Saturday, January 10, 2004, at 07:37:04 CST.

I hope to be asleep for that one!!

At that moment we will be exactly midway between the beginning and the end
of 32-bit "time from 1970" timekeeping.
