I've got three thoughts on this:
1. Personally, I would really like to see a list of accounts with how many
MBs of data each account has, sorted by usage. Nobody should have over 1
gig. In fact, we should probably have a 2 gig quota on the server. At
least let's generate a monthly report so everyone can know who the
asshole(s) are.
2. Most of that data still probably belongs to Mogmios. If he or an
administrator would just delete all those porno movies, I'm pretty sure
the storage crisis would be over. When you have one jackass with 10 gigs
of data, it gives everyone else the message that it's OK to have 10 gigs
of data. Clearly everyone can't have that much data.
3. Drives have gotten super cheap. I would be willing to donate $20 toward
a bigger drive. Is there someone who is officially supposed to hold the
money? If so, what is their campus address?
