Not a lot. Less setup is probably the biggest thing. You don't have to
configure and keep running a VNC session per user as any permitted user
can logon just as they would from the local machine.. using the
graphical logon interface that's familiar. In some cases you might get
better performance than using VNC (in other cases the inverse might be
true). This is using the client machine as a real X terminal whereas VNC
is more of a program providing a virtual i/o layer to whatever desktop
you happen to be running.
