I agree. I guess we could be proactive as these young enterprising fellows
were.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm just about
tired of hearing about the RIAA suing 12 year old kids
for downloading music. I would say American
capitalism is in a sad shape when an industry attacks
it's customers and they come back to buy more. Why
give these greedy bastards more money to use to
prosecute more people. Quite frankly, given their
recent display, I could care less if every one of
those record execs goes broke. Artists will still get
by. People have no problem supporting a benevolent
industry being run by true artists, but that is no
longer the case.

Right now all you have are businessmen who are not
artists, finding pretty boy teens that have little, if
any, songwriting ability, get them into the studio to
produce the usual cookie cutter garbage that the
consumer sheep usually buy, and out in front of the
camera they go where they can show off their booty,
tatoos and lack of intellect.

So... the prospect of going back to a system where
individual artists, or a group of artists banding
together, leading normal lives so that maybe they'll
actually have something worthwhile to write about,
producing decent music that is worth paying 10 or 15
bucks for doesn't exactly seem like a horror story to
me.

But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Roger
