I'm not sure whether the VPN client is gpl'd or not.  I found those 
links in about 30 seconds with a google search and a search on 
freshmeat.net.  Sometimes that's the best source when looking for 
information on applications.  Freshmeat usually has a good listing of 
any kind of application you could want (usually, not always) regardless 
of license or OS.
