As now redhat gone, suse gone, I am thinking of debian to switch to after looking at your comments.
Then I need to migrate almost 4 computers, 2 desktops and 2 laptops (one of my friend). I hope everything
with installing on desktop should be fine, but I am not sure how far debian is successfull on laptops. With
googling it seems its not bad and also I found a page for debian on inspiron 8200. So, any of you guys running
debian on inspiron 8200 or inspiron 600m or any other laptop? If so, I would be happy if you share your comments.
Moreover, i looked at the debian web, and it says the stable latest release was in Nov 2002, I don't know if I need
to go for that. It seems old, is that ok if I go for latest unstable versions, how far is the latest is unstable from
the stable release?
I appreciate any comments,
Suman K
