I would guess that Red Hat are repositioning themselves purely as an
enterprise server/enterprise workstation vendor - and are no longer
interested in the small shops (for whom an RHAS subscription is
actually more expensive than a Windows 2003 purchase, depending upon
the required number of CALs). Trashing Linux on the home desktop
seems like a pretty shortsighted move, though; Windows gained a lot
of popularity from being basically the same at home, school and
work.
