Then it should be portable to any distro you want. As mentioned, SuSE should do the job, and be there for you for at least 2 years. Also, even if SCO were to win its ludicrousuit (I figure this crap deserves its own word now), SuSE is far enough away that all the SCO executives will have been beaten to death with keyboards, unix manuals and install disks long before they get their lawyers to Germany. :-)

Joking aside, if SCO does get allowed to oppress open source, I would not be surprised if there were some rioting. People entrenched in Linux often feel passionately about their rights, and many are in the same social situation as the participants of rights riots in the past (college students/faculty). I don't support such a response, but given that we've already seen "our own" use inappropriate tactics such as that DoS attack on SCO, I think its a likely result. On the other hand, something does need to be done when the government fails to protect the rights of the people. Preferably something peaceful though.

I'm not going on a hunger strike though. :-P
