Does a "share-the-internet router work with MAC's instead of IP's?

All of the banks files and such are else where. This is just so that the
internal PC's can communicate with one another.

I'll let the pros tell you about 'should', but you can certainly chain
commodity 8-port hubs/switches together to get many ports. All the
boxes on the LAN can see each other. Put a $40 "share-the-internet"
router in
for DHCP service and you're set!

But, this is for a *bank*? I hope my bank doesn't cheap out on their IT
stuff. Of all the information you want securely protected...

Mark
