Today, the redhat update service (up2date) broke my postfix install.
The new version: postfix-1.1.12-0.7.i386.rpm
does not support dbm any more.
This results in the errors:
Aug 5 16:24:58 receptec02 postfix/nqmgr[1565]: warning: premature
end-of-input from private/local socket while reading input attribute name
Aug 5 16:24:58 receptec02 postfix/nqmgr[1565]: warning: private/local
socket: malformed response
Aug 5 16:24:58 receptec02 postfix/nqmgr[1565]: warning: transport local
failure -- see a previous warning/fatal/panic logfile record for the
problem description
You can still use hash (I had problems with this before), then it works
again.
This is a very ugly breakdown, since I have the up2date running with
cron and thus was for some time not aware of the problem.
/sven
