When you allow code, you start getting into SMS's (Site Management Systems). CMS's are intended to keep the user limited to just Content and to leave the code alone. For companies trying despirately to keep their consistent look and feel, yet allow accountants, publishers, etc. to post their own info on the web, keeping users limited to Content is crucial.
