Have you read "man traceroute" ?
I wonder if the sysadmins at Yahoo notice people pinging them all the
time? I developed the habit back when Yahoo was the biggest thing on the
Internet... I was thinking about this today as I absentmindedly pinged
yahoo.com to see if our sew server was connected to the outside world.
I've seen many other admins do the same thing. It would be interesting
data to see how many pings they get per day.
