I have a Linksys wireless router and I setup a wireless network, it works fine.
I got my laptop running win xp working on that and other ibook with Mac OS 9. I could configure them easily.
I used a 64 bit WEP.
Now the problem is with Mac OS X on the same ibook (got dual boot),
I am sure I did everything correctly with Airport on and it also detected the wireless network id. Here it asks me the password and then I enter the 64 bit ( 10 hexa digits) WEP and it says wrong password. I tried changing the WEP but the same problem again.
Is that Mac OS X takes only passphrases and generates WEP? Do I not have the option of entering 64 bit key? Is there any good tool which converts passphrases to WEP and viceversa?
Could you tell me whats happening?
