I probably wouldn't even bother with Kpackage. It's unlikely to work
until you repair the package system.
Just to state the obvious.. Knoppix installed to a hdd doesn't work to
well. I had to do a lot of manual repair work to get apt-get working
decently. Make sure you properly run update on it and keep working your
way through the errors.
